As I see It

                  The worst dressed or least looking  is the trap one is creating to be trapped by others       You know you are being cheated, yet you are unable to fight the situation or to be brave enough, to explain or just being mute. This is a situation no body wants to experience but knowingly I have been experiencing helplessly and continuously. 29 th of August knowingly and just by being mute, I experienced , in the presence of my daughter, I was cheated by a bank employee at the counter who told me that the money is insufficient  according to the amount stated in the bank slip. Almost every months I bankin money for the interest of the house, which I have taken a loan from different  bank. I don’t have nice or sweet feelings to invest with a particular a bank since most of the time certain amount of money from my savings used to be missing unknowingly.         ...

      Throughout   my teaching career, I worked   with several Principles   and severed in several districts. Among these principles two of them had made an impact and in my   career with their commitment, dedication and involvement in moulding the students characters and to nurture the students as quality learners. Today the students from these two school excel as well behaved   and successful individuals in life.    Mr. Renganathan is the first Principle with whom I worked for almost 5 years.         Primary Tamil students especially those in Tamil schools really taken good care by their Teachers and parents as long they are in primary, but when these kids moved to secondary School. No one bothers about them, including their parents.       My personal experience of Teaching in rural primary and Secondary school has given me ample of sweet and bitter experience of handling and dealing with these rural students and their parents. As long they are in Primary the head and the class teachers , with the subject teachers do their best to make the child  to learn and perform well in the exams. But once when The child enters or in secondary school, parents neglect the child assuming the child has grown and can be on their own.      The basic need of the child is not fulfilled by the mother, either working mother or home maker. Simple breakfast and simple meals are not prepared for the child in the mornin...

      My visits to Tamil Nadu and visiting the institutions  there not only opened my eyes and my mind, but also made me realize how important is ones culture and their religion.    Tamil Nadu Teachers, lecturers and Professors, who ever in Education line especially ladies, either in private school or government school, college lecturers and university Professors whether, they are Christians, Hindus or Moslems, saree is the official attire and daily, worn by all the ladies.      Malaysian Teachers’ , educators and those in education line hardly practice this custom. Even The Tamil school teachers can’t be seen tying saree on daily basis. On certain days either on Friday or if there is a special function in school only ladies wear saree to school.      When I was a student, those days my teachers , almost all of the Tamil and Indian Teachers came to school in saree only, but today saree is a forgotten attir...

                  Rajastan is one of the poor state in India. The climate is semi desert and the Thar desert of India is located  here, on its North West. The vegetation is  Desert and its dry throughout the year. Everywhere  red sandy soil was seen and its difficult to grow vegetables here due to the extreme dry climate. The common plant is the spiky plant, which is grown throughout India.                    On our way to the Capital of Rajastan we stopped at a Highway restaurant which served vegetarian food such as rice chapatti and dhall gravy accompanied with salad, papadam and grilled chicken, we were also serve miniature or tiny okras as big as tip of  finger, so tiny and it was a grated coconut stew. After lunch while travelling we saw okra farm  with huge  and bushy plants, with the  workers plucking  the tiny vegetable. ...

    A very sickening and a very sad incident of rural higher secoundry  school situation., I would like to share here. A girl whom I met during her Preunistudy years in my school turned out to be one of the studnet with good grades in  Form 6 but unfortunately she was not selected to any university courses due to her very bad competncy in English, she was unable to speak in simple English. The Word English she said as "inggeris: she told me" my inggeris is not good" The word English she mention as Inggeris, I was very sad to hear this girl who came looking for me for a bisness based purpose.      Her Primary schooling was in Chinese vernacullar school and secoundry she was studying here in my school unfortunately during her 7 years of schooling in secoundry  school, not even a year she was in my class.    We always blame others when the rural schools Exam result is out. How many of us try to find solution or help the school to get better or improve the result. Let us find out, how many administrators are English medium or competent in English. The teachers who are not competent  or not exposed to the basic learning skills , how are they going to help the students to excel or to get better result.                    How many rural  secondary   school  Principles are competent in English and how many of them are multi lingual or biligual. In Malaysia most of the administrators are selected based on the seniority and being how influential they are. Only the Non Muslims are selected based on their Competency in English and the school really shows improvement in the language.                             ...

          Year 2013   november is the month , I joined my brother and his tour group to Central Jawa. Upon each visit to different places, I make sure to, learn something from each place that I visit. Jawa and its people are very different from the indian continent and the Sumatra people.        The jawanese seemed to be religious, and most of the people whom I met at the hotel were all Hindus. Our visit was to tour the ancient Hidu temples such as the Penampanan Temple in Central Jawa, Borobudur and the Candi.        Everything seemd to be very useful to these Jawanese.The handicrafs were simple and cute, most of the recycle or not very popular materials turned into cute souvenirs. The food consist of simple salads vegeis and chicken gravy.                              During my university days, I was thinking of going on an expedition to Sabah to conquer Mount Kina Balu. Everything happened so fast, as though it has been  planned. Just few years after Im back from my long house stay from Sarawak, in few moths I was asked by the education officer to write a research a paper for the coming national level research colloquium, which will be held in Ipoh. Before that, few months earlier there was a state level seminar which i was asked to attend , so i can get some clues about writing  a research paper.         Year 2014 was the year .I was planning to  visit several hill stations in India, when I heard that my brother is organizing a tour to these places , I contacted him and asked him to book a place for me. After the seat was confirmed I asked my brother about the duration and places he  will be taking us during our Visit.             I was shocked with his answer because when my brother told me he was planning to visit East India, I thought he will visit the hill stations, so I requested him  for a place.      When I recall my days in 1980’s as a primary school Teacher, things and incidents that comes to my mind is how to teach, how to train , how to prepare the students to sit for the exam and so on. But situation is contrast now days compared to the 8oies and 90ies. Present day school teachers seems to be far more involve in entrepreneurship in office and in working environment, marketing their product and making extra money during school hours, vandalism has exceeded its number.        Teacher who has been teaching the minimum number of learners limit their involvement and comes to school like a baby doll and going back like a the same baby doll, but several Teachers burdened  with maximum number of students and packed Teaching hours without gap .Where these Teachers struggling with time to teach and to write lesson notes and to get the suitable teaching aids and marking students works.          Most of t...

                     Thaipusam is celebrated by Hindus around the Globe. Malaysia is the only destination in the world where this festival is celebrated in Grand scale. Hindus around the world gathered in Malaysia to celebrate this festival which falls in the month of Thai and in “Pusam” Natchathiram   ( star).        The foreigners, as far as from Australia, Indonesia, Thailand,Srilanka, India and from Europe come here to join in the celebration. This  celebration  is mainly to cheer “Lord Subramaniam”in the month of Thai in Hindu Calendar.       In Malaysia, this festival is celebrated by all, even the non Hindus join in this celebration by helping in this festival.
