              Baby Shower  THE PURPOSE OF PERFORMING THIS FUNCTION  IS TO ENSURE THE MOTHER AND BABY  BEING SAFE DURING AND AFTER THE BIRTH.. 

           Various types and taste of rice prepared using natural herbs, spices and variety of flavours. Milaghu satham, coconut satham, mint satham, yogurt Satham, sweet rice using karupatti, seeragha satham, inji satham. All the ingredients used in preparation of these Various rice utmost purpose is to ensure safe and easy delivery and easy constipation for the mother. othernthan this the baby gets to taste various  taste in mothers womb, before delivary and ready to see the new world outside the mothers womb. This function is the immunity strenthen function which helps the fetus in mothers womb to be active and safe. 

         The present day culture has created a storm in the minds of present Hindus to celebrate this bangles/ValaIkappu function as glamour as possible. but hv forgotten and lost the basic tradition of feeding various types and tastes of  immune boosting rice to the pregnant mother , hv created certain traditions by them selves and performing as they like. So its better to refer to very old ladies those Centenarians and native People regarding this bangle ceremony, the reason, the oldestr and isolated Community preserve their tradition and culture and hv not poluted  by present days new Culture.

Thrifty at times practiçed wrongly

   Thrifty ! some people,beiñg ignorant about alit of basic needs , À girl wore1 school gown dàily to school for 2 yeàrs,the gowñ faded ñ worn out.  The gaun,was bought by her father beginning of the year when school reopens .         After 6 months the father died, This girl n her younger sister were taken care by her older sisters . Both were the back bone of their family. Both learnt stitching n stitched beautiful gauns for the little sisters.      The next year the 2 nd sister started working n stayed at the place she was working deep inside a sugar cane plantation, quarters provided for the staff. The eldest girl in the family was only 9  year plus when her father stopped her schooling ,when her mom was sick n there were younger brothers in the house need to be taken care by her.
