The History of Malaysia
History of Malaysia was part of course in Malaysian School Syllabus in lower Secondary Text books distributed by Ministry of Education to all National Schools and Missionary schools.
In 1960 ies n 1970ies Missionary Schools n National Type Schools Principles were non Malays n non Muslims. Only National Primary n Secoundry School Principles were Local Malays. The top people in Admind mostly non Malays, and non Muslims managed National Type primary and Missionary Schools. These National type Chinese and Tamil Schools were known as Vernacular Schools.In Vernacular Schools Children Learn in their mother tongue and English and Bahasa Malaysia was taught as extra subject which need to Compulsary pass.
National type Schools were known as Sekolah jenis Kebangsaan . These were the Vernacular Tamil n Chinese Schools.
Governments allocation for National type primary n Secoundry Schools were only Partial while National Primary and National Secoundry schools were fully aided by Governments allocation., these are the SK and SMK Schools solely funded by Government, unlike Vernacular Schools which hv to find their Own.sponsors for their School Programs .
In Primary and Secoundry the history of Malaya, the purpose of migration on South Indian labourers n Chinese people frm China migrating to Malaya in late 18th Century is explained in detail in the School history books. South Indians played important role to clear the jungles n build roads, the Srilankans were the supervisors in the estates. Chinese started business and they started provision shop , grocery mart. The Malay Community lived in their villages n grew paddy and other vegetables n fruits. Such settlements are based on certain ethnics lifestyle n job. Majaysia n Chinese were self employed but South Indians were Serving the Country / by clearing dangerous jungles abd started to plBr rubber. Some were involved in road Construction. Those involve in road construction were arranged quarters n settled here with their family.
Countless of Tamilians were sent to Thailand ,Burma ,Malaysia railway trek construction, Many died while working due to Malaria while working. The Contribution of South Indians in Malaysia unlimited to mage this country a better land to live,but how many Top People in Politic still remembers n appreciate or help or has given Compensation to the families of those who worked so hard to develope this Nation. The present-day joke is politicians hardjy airevuste or learn the History of Malaysia...
The schools build for the multi national Malaysians by the British for the communities own convenient near their working and home environment according to their needs and there is no other intention to segregate the Indian , Malay , Chinese Communities as how it has been stated by an Author in a book written by a local scholar. Educational institutions, were built according to settlements and the ethnicity not simply with any purpose.
