Banana it's impact in my childhood n presentday

      I was only 5 or 6 years when I saw my athais eldest girl, as an elderly lady used to carry several combs of Banamas when visiting  us she walked all the way frm  Sitiawan estate to my kg house. The distance almost 3 to 4 km. All by walking  only those days.

        The first one n the child who choose to eat maximum bananas  it was  me. I was  eating bananas as though I'm eating a meal. The sweet soft bananas with tiny seeds inside.The delicious snack I used to eat during my child hood days.

    Appa planted red, Cavendish , pacha nattan, n Curry Vazhai in our Compound. I don't remember eating cooked bananas , only ripe bananas during my child hood days, other than sweet juicy Orange colour Flesh Jack fruits ,from several trees dad had planted when he is off. 

      I don't remember eating imported fruits, only home grown fruits ,freshjy plucked from our trees. Guava was another fruit which was daily ,I was plucking n eating from several trees with few linkmfjedh n two trees white milky coloured thick flesh. I climbed the Tsll trees , n pluck my self , sut on the tree branches abd eating Guavas after bvk frm school, my instant snack n.meal.

    No wonder , being a state level runner, with new record at my district level meets in higher Secoundry in 1500 meters run. When my timing n new record was announced, my lower Seciundry Teacher Cikgu NorSininran towards me , called my name n.tokd me .you are stringer after joining your new higher Secoundry school.

My tongue was tied un able to respond to her .Cikgu Aininwas a new inspiration to me ,when sfe first started to reach my class BM when I was in remove class. From 6 years in Tamil medium Primary School, when joined Secoundary school, The Tamil.mefium.n.Chinese medium Students are required to Master national.language for 1 year . So 1 full year PE, Science , Geography, History , Maths n BM we studied in National Language. That's why the Tamil n Chinese Primary students are required to learn every subject in Bahasa Malaysia...this 1 year is refered as Peralihan ..Transformation year frm.mother Tongue to fully master BM,just like the 1 year Foundation course after Completion of O level.exams.

   The following year form 1. Whije the SK n SRK students durectjy pursue furm. After primary 6 years.  Some parents  feel it's a waste of time but the truth. Many SK n Even English medium girjs frm Convent join this 1byear Majay medium class n master the language , they even perform better Overall during Lower Secoundry Exam ..
